Enki Inanna
"quote"
Bio: Enki was four years old when his mother disappeared into the Realm of Beasts. He claims he doesn't really remember her but his older sister filled his head with story after story of her adventures and love. She hoped that he would feel close with his mother this way but instead, Kishar became the figure in those stories to him. Their father was out hunting and commanding the guard as one of the officers so that during the day, the two siblings were often with friends and neighbors, learning as children in the Crossroads often did--by experiencing. He was taught swordplay from the age he was old enough to hold one, using it on prey animals and other boys alike. While he doesn't feel a kinship with his mother, the mockery of the other kids about who she was to galavant off into the forest triggered a need to protect his family's honor. He knew that if he didn't, Kishar would and she would only create more trouble. Their adventures were often her idea. The rules they broke and conversations they eavesdropped on, all her idea. By his teen years, Enki was still as in awe of his older sister but completely exhausted by her. He trained harder so that he could protect her, grew fierce, and responsible to support her goals. It irritates him that he can't be beside her when she's on missions as he's still in training but he also refuses to be something unreasonable like a forward-guard. It is his current goal to become a full-fledged soldier of the home-guard and surpass even his father so that he can protect the entire city that he loves rather than try to understand the cause of their problem.

Age: 24
Gender: Male Species: Human Orientation: Gay Status: Taken by Tibor Occupation: Homeguard-in-training, warrior of Haridwar Appearance: At 5'11", he's a man of decent height and the strong but supple of a young fighter. His darker skin has seen less sun than his sister's but still has has the warm brown tones typical of his people. Likewise, his hair is black and swept to the right side, often covering one of his dark grey-blue eyes. Though there is some flow to his hair, it is not particularly wavy nor board straight. Though he wears a simple shirt, vest, and pants in his daily life, his most iconic look is that of his guard uniform of lightweight leather armor and Haridwar's signature red accents. Weapon: A standard, double-edged sword with his fists and improvised weapons as his secondary. Likes: Planning, order, organization, mending clothes and other simple tasks, other people having fun, and the Festival of Dancing Swords. Dislikes: Unfamiliar people and places, spicy foods, reading books, and archery. Personality: From a very young age, he’s been forced to be the responsible one. Whether it’s keeping Kishar out of trouble or speaking to the union delegations, he has shouldered that burden with little complaint. However, it’s hard to say if he is naturally a serious person or if he’s just adapted to be that way. He goes with the flow easily and adjusts to the best outcome or most popular vote but he’s been known to show a brick wall sort of stubbornness if others don’t comply with a chosen decision. He’s known to protect Kishar to the point of being annoying about it, especially when she’s able to best him in a fight and he knows it. It’s a little shameful but he still feels obligated to do everything that he can do. That ambition will always have him seeking to be a better person even if he’s always seen as grounded and the least likely to go out on an adventure. He does his quest because he doesn't feel like he's enough. Others even see him as close-minded, prickly, and impossible to please, or at the very least, boring. Most people don’t see the inner workings of his mind as he does keep his emotions close to his chest. However, he feels strongly and is intensely loyal, kind, and just a bit picky. He expects the best of his partners and won’t commit until he knows that he will receive the same in response. Only Kishar is known to not have to earn anything from him. When he is comfortable, however, he shows a teasing, sharp-wit and an uncharacteristic almost poetic introspection. He rarely lets himself be vulnerable so it takes a rare person to earn that honor. |
