Eiji
"quote"
Likes: The feeling of any liquid on his skin, touching scar tissue and especially playing with it, walking, and chipped nail polish.
Dislikes: People asking if he has a last name, sunny mornings, riding the bus, dumb questions, and people who steal money or flaunt stupidly, especially about stealing money. |
Age: 26
Gender: male Species: human Orientation: unsure Status: single Occupation: bouncer for an underground gambling ring Appearance: He's 5'10" tall with narrow hips and a leanly muscled torso. Seems to be of Japanese ethnicity with messy black hair that falls past his eyes and fully covers his right one. The dark brown of his right eye is marred by tiny bits scar tissue from corneal damage. Likewise, much of his body bears the same sort of wounds--knobby knuckles that healed wrong, scars on his arms and feet, a large cut on his ribs, burnt finger pads. He could be a very beautiful man if not for how marred his skin is and his penchant to never smile. His fashion sense is casual but colorful and as ill-fitted as the rest of him. His only tattoo, which is on his back, is so poorly taken care of that it's impossible to tell what it was. An oni? A tiger? Lilly pads on a pond? It's likely that no one will ever know since Eiji won't say. Voice: Generally lower in timbre, speaks slowly. Personality: Eiji has never been easy to get along with. His indifference towards others and himself borders on apathy and cruelty but he doesn't care how others perceive him. He has a stubborn side and a certain loyalty toward obligations he thinks he has but the things he cares about are random at best. That doesn't mean he doesn't feel strongly, it can just be hard to tell as an outsider. He is blunt, rude, occasionally aggressive, often passive, and always strange. He's outside of convention and knows it. That's just fate, though, so he might as well roll with it. Bio: Born with congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), Eiji has been unable to feel any pain since he was born. It's led to a body riddled with scars and a few of his fingers knobby from where the joints healed incorrectly. But not all of his injuries were accidents. As a child, he both hurt others and himself in order to see if he could replicate the pain in himself. When he realized he couldn't, he gave up on the game and became the apathetic man he is today. Which was probably for the best considering he was raised by a dirty drunk and a show girl addicted to gambling. His dad was useless and his mother hellbent on teaching him how to play the system. Which was funny considering the two were definitely not his real parents. He doesn't know where he came from or if his 'parents' even had legal rights to him but he keeps in touch sometimes, making sure they stay alive because he probably owes them that much. They weren't the best parents but they did their best, after all. |
