Layland Richards
"I'm going to try to fix this. Whatever people say about me, I fix my mistakes."
Personality: He's cold and manipulative. The sort of person who will squash those beneath him to get to the top. Even as a child, he was too intelligent for his peers and was raised to talk with adults in stiff social settings. He's egotistical, selfish, spoiled, ambitious, snappy, and cold. He wants to get to the top through his own power though and does not take his father's money without working for it. Work is very important to him and he wants to get prestige and respect, not riches. He has honor too and won't just leave his mistakes unfixed. He's also curious and if something is proven, he won't continue to deny it, moving efficiently to learn, find solutions, and adapt. Because he's motivated by success, rather than riches, he's the sort to apply his learnings to the greater good and never hoards solutions that could make the world a better place. Because isn't a better world for everyone a benefit to him too? He dislikes the abuse of money and fame...though he would be hard put to just give his up either. He does enjoy being on the top because he deserves it.

Age: 24
Gender: male Species: human Orientation: Bi (he perceives himself to be straight) Status: single Occupation: chemistry grad student Appearance: 5'11" and average skin tone. His hair is a dull straw-like blonde that falls to the bottom of his ears, perhaps a bit longer. His grey eyes are small and his eyebrows severe, matching his high cheek bones and knife-like nose. Everything about him is imposing in a handsome sort of way. He dresses neat, almost always button up shirts. Dark, expensive jeans at school, black slacks when he's out. Not unusual to see him in a white lab coat with some kind of goggles or protective eye gear. Likes: Puzzles, learning, any sort of challenge, expensive foods and wines, and observing things/people. Dislikes: Lies and anyone who makes them, failure of any kind or affronts to his ego and social status. Bio: He has well know parents and an older brother that's already making a name in the scientific community. His relationship with them is cold and competitive, but he's comfortable with that sort of detached home-life. He's held himself to the highest standard since childhood, even without their expectations. He's always been at the top of his class, and a winner of many awards which are displayed next to his brother's in the sitting room of his family house. His own apartment, despite its grand size, lacks most of the same personal touch. |
